Service Description
Coaching for senior associates and managing associates weighing whether to pursue partnership or counsel, move to another firm, move in-house, or leave law. The work begins with a structured assessment of your strengths, experience, interests, values and preferred way of working. We then consider how those factors fit with the demands, opportunities and trade-offs associated with each option, including the type of work you want to do, the working environment in which you perform best, the lifestyle you want to maintain and the level of uncertainty you are prepared to accept. We will also examine the assumptions influencing your decision, the aspects of your current role that you want to retain or change, and any practical constraints affecting your options. Where relevant, this may include your financial priorities, location, family commitments, professional identity and appetite for business development, management or further qualification. The outcome is a defined direction, together with a practical plan for testing and progressing it. This may include refining your positioning, identifying relevant organisations or roles, developing your network, preparing for conversations with sponsors or decision-makers, or setting out the steps required to position yourself for partnership. The coaching does not guarantee partnership, a new role or any other external outcome; it gives you a considered decision and an action plan grounded in your circumstances.
